Android has the solution to all your troubles regarding the usage of your device. You just have to pop up a question or an issue and you will get it solved, if not within seconds then of course within an hour. You will have hundreds of replies in any Android forum about how to fix the issue or how to get things done in your device. Androids have not only changed the way we communicate, but it has also given a new definition to the way we use our devices. It has become our office, our gaming console, music player, movie-theater and most importantly, some Android has redefined the experience of photography in the Smartphones with high resolution camera fit into the phone. But then there is a small hitch attached to it as you get the annoying shutter sound whenever you are clicking something.
Will the silent mode work?
When you are getting into a theater or a meeting then we tend to put on the silent mode of the phone so that nobody gets disturbed by the noise of your phone. Silent mode not only turns off the sound of the ringtone but also the notification sound too, but does that apply to the shutter sound too? The answer will be a YES and a NO. There are some Smartphone devices whose shutter sounds do go off when the phone slips into the silent mode, but the number of that devices are very few in number like the HTC One and Sony Xperia Z1. But in most cases your shutter sound has nothing to do with silent mode so for those devices you have to carry out some other procedure. You will also get some Smartphone devices which will readily allow you to disable the shutter sound, but then there are some of those devices which just don’t walk the straight path so you have to follow a different route for them.
Disabling camera’s shutter sound for rooted device
If your device is already rooted then you can easily disable the mode by:
– Opening the app named root explorer
– Going to the system media, there you will find audio and then selecting the UI
– Press mount r/w then select the Shutter.ogg
– You now have to rename it as shutter.ogg.bak
– Rename the Shutter_multiple.ogg as Shutter_multiple.ogg.bak
Voila! You are done and now you won’t be getting the annoying shutter sound anymore.
Disabling shutter sound for unrooted devices
If your device is the unrooted one, then you can use the Camera Mute app developed by one of the XDA member. This app will help you to turn off the shutter sound easily and if you want to get it back then also it is made possible. This app was mainly created for the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and Samsung Galaxy Note 3 but many users have used this app in other devices like LG G2, Lenovo P780, Samsung Galaxy Grand, Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1, Galaxy S2, S3 and S4 too.
